Thornbury Electrics

30 years trading and 80 Google reviews at 4.8 stars, but your Instagram sits at 4 followers, last post April 2023.

The goal

Most Perth electrical businesses your size sit between $30k and $100k a month. If the goal is holding $100k consistently rather than riding the season, this is about the gap between those two numbers.

What we found

1

30 years trading, 80 Google reviews at 4.8 stars, and your Instagram sits at 4 followers

Instagram, @thornburyelectrics, checked 11 Sep 2026: 4 followers, 0 following, most recent visible post dated 19 April 2023 (over 3 years stale). Bio reads "Perth Electrician Since 1987" and "Appliance Repair Specialists."

What it costs: Almost none of that reputation is reaching anyone outside people who already know to call you. A dormant account for a business with this much history behind it is reach sitting on the table, not a content problem.

The fix: Post a handful of real job photos to start, then link it properly from your website and start putting a small amount of paid reach behind it.

80 reviews at 4.8 stars, invisible on the one page built to show it off

Checked directly, homepage and thornburyelectrics.com.au/electrical-services/testimonials/, 12 Sep 2026: five written testimonials shown as plain text quotes, no star rating or review count anywhere on either page. Birdeye (aggregating Google), checked 11 Sep 2026: 4.8 stars, 80 reviews, all from Google.

What it costs: 80 real reviews at 4.8 stars is a genuine trust asset, and it's invisible on the one page built specifically to show trust off.

The fix: Add the actual star rating and review count to the top of your testimonials page and your homepage.

Nothing on the site says what happens after someone calls or fills in the form

Checked directly, homepage and suburb-specific service pages, 11 Sep 2026: no mention anywhere of expected response time, an auto-reply confirmation, or what happens immediately after someone calls or submits the form.

What it costs: 30 years of reputation gets someone to pick up the phone or fill in the form. What happens in the next five minutes is what turns that into a booked job, and right now nothing on the site says what that is.

The fix: State a real response-time commitment on the contact form and its confirmation message.

80 people a month search "electrician Victoria Park". You don't rank for it, your own suburb.

Ahrefs Keywords Explorer + Site Explorer, Australia, 12 Sep 2026: "electrician victoria park", 80 searches/month. Checked your full organic keyword index directly, no ranking found for this term or any Victoria Park-specific phrase, despite this being your own suburb.

What it costs: You've built genuinely strong rankings elsewhere, position 1 for "ilve oven repairs" with 200 searches a month, just not for the one term that's literally your own suburb plus "electrician."

The fix: Build a page targeting "electrician Victoria Park" directly, the same focused way you've already done for your ILVE and gas oven repair pages.

"Thanks, we'll call you back within 2 business hours."

Hey, thanks for taking a look at the audit.

I only spent about half an hour on your digital presence and found these four things. They're not the biggest issues out there, but they all add up to how you rank and how you show up online.

If you want to go deeper, I'd love to take a proper look at your paid ads, specifically Google and Meta, and hear a bit about your business and where you want to take it, whether there's a revenue number you're chasing. We specialise in Perth service businesses, tradies and schools included.

If any of this is worth a conversation, send me a message below and I'll give you a call.

Thanks,
Chris
